Drinking, Girls, and Greg

K, so the question now becomes, what on Earth have I done since payday? Why the extended silence?

Well, let's see. Friday I was happy to discover my account was once again full of money, and went promptly to the bank to remit it all away. Then, I went and got a haircut, mwahaha, which was an adventure, but a good one. I went drinking with Ty at the Hub in Kashiwa after work, and when I got there, he was already talking with two Japanese girls that had invited him to sit with them. Later, Dave arrived, and we all had a good night drinking and talking. I spoke Japanese nearly the entire night. Oh, and after we left, a Japanese girl ran up to me (unrelated to our group) in the station who was in the bar, and gave me her phone email on a napkin and ran off blushing. Haha so cute.

Saturday, I worked, and then went, somewhat begrudingly, to Gabe's End-of-Nova party in Kashiwa. Kind of glad I went though, because, while somewhat boring to start, by the end of the night I was holding a Japanese girl named Yukari and exchanging numbers. When we left, a group of us went to the hub, and on the way I was hit on continually by one of two adult Japanese women, but I was well, still kinda giddy about Yukari, so I didn't really pay much attention to them.

Sunday was holding out till the end of work to go to Minami Moriya, where Greg lives, and we spent all night being silly and being happy to see one another, despite how tired I was after several consecutive nights of drinking. We played cribbage and casino most of the night, after wandering around for what felt like 3 hours looking for an ATM that would accept my card to no avail. We gorged ourselves on ramen and got gawked at by Japanese high school girls, much to my personal satisfaction. We ate Nestle Crunch to death and went to bed. The next day we wandered around some more and generally had a good time.

Last night I wrote letters to home and today I mailed them. I've been lounging around all day, and I plan to do so the rest of the night as well. Go me.

And yes, for the record, it's probably going to happen. I'm probably going to start hooking up with Japanese girls.
